| Compound Eight Wheel Shot Blasting Machine Model - 8W - 1.5 x 2.0 The SPT 8W - 1.5 x 2.0 is a heavy duty shot blasting machine built for fabricators of heavy structural steel column and beam fabrications. All the blast wheels are angled to give the same level of cleanliness on the end plates as on the web and flange. As standard the machine is supplied with roller conveyors with a 1000kgs/m capacity and if required we can supply conveyors for up to 3000kgs/m. To optimize efficiency four, six or eight blast wheels can blast at any one time dependant on the material size being processed by manual controls for the abrasive flow. |

| This machine is designed specifically for very heavy steel fabrications and the beam pictured on this page was 28m long and weighed over 30 tonnes, it was cleaned at 1m/min to SA2.5 in a single pass and all areas were cleaned to the same level. The eight blast wheels are directly driven by a cast iron 18.5 kW motor. As an option a 30kW motor that will increase the line speed. The blast cabinet is fully lined with 10mm thick manganese steel with the addition of an extra 12mm thick Inline Liner directly opposite each blast wheel. In addition we also line the first 300mm of the vestibules with manganse. All the blast wheel parts are made from 25% Hi-Chrome castings. |
